A quick, three question, anonymous survey on the version of Delphi that you use.  Results will be released to all on 26 December.

Please take 1 minute to fill out the survey.  With over 700 members, it should be really interesting to see which version handles the bulk of our development work.

  4. Kevin Powick I took the survey, saw it was in Google Docs is there a page you can point me to to set up a poll?

  6. I guess it could be better with multi-selection, cos we use D7 for legacy support and XE2 for ongoing development. (also FPC for multiplatform)

  7. Although i filed the questioner I am using BOTH D6 and DXE
for obvious reason .Some old staff do compile in D6. No need for Unicode or else.
And i do not like the new control Q (search) when i move from
one source to the other it disappear. Can i have it to stay as it use to be.
Control L is OK but not Control Q.

  9. I understand that some people use multiple versions depending on their codebase or work/personal usage.  However, the focus of the usage questions is on which version do you use most often, and will that usage change 6 months from now?  FYI: 216 responses in the first 12 hrs. :)

  15. Kevin Powick thank you for your time in making this survey and everyone that took part in it.

I believe that the numbers for D7 are a bit low compared to reality, one of my clients has a ton of D7 projects and he doesn't want to consider upgrading anytime soon, personally I think there are others that do the same thing...

I'm a bit disappointed that less than 500 took part of the survey, we could have done way better ):

  16. By "compared to reality", I suppose you mean considering those that did not participate.  Otherwise, why would people taking the survey wish D7 usage to be lower than what it actually is among respondents?

Considering the size of this group, the number of respondents is actually very high.  Though, since anyone with the link could participate and I did post the survey to the Delphi non-tech forum at EMBT,  it's not possible to know exactly how many of those 466 represent people that are not members of this G+ community.

No matter in my mind, though.  I think it was a really good response rate.
