Originally shared by TRichView We uploaded new versions of our rich text editing components, compatible with Embarcadero Technologies #Delphi 10.3 Rio: #TRichView 17.6 We plan to add support of new features of Delphi 10.3, so a new release is expected soon. Additional changes are made in our rich text reporting components ReportWorkshop 1.10: - new field types (minutes, seconds, mseconds) to represent integer values as time; - new report editor demo for #ElevateDB. The report editor allows building reports for any ElevateDB database, printing them, exporting to HTML, RTF and DocX. This is a freeware application that can be useful by itself.

Originally shared by TRichView We've released #RVMedia 6: a set of components for displaying videos from various sources, organizing video chats, recording audio and video files. RVMedia can be used as - VCL components in Embarcadero Technologies #Delphi - LCL components in #Lazarus (Windows and Linux platforms) Changes since RVMedia 5: - video and audio recording (using new TRVCamRecorder and TRVAudioPlayer components) with use of #FFmpeg; - playing sounds on the specified audio device (using TRVAudioPlayer component); - ability to have more than one video- and audio- sources in each client of a TRVMediaServer; - much better processing of sound received by TRVCamReceiver; - support for FFmpeg versions from 2 to (newest) 4; - new video mode for TRVCamera: using user-supplied images as video frames. Most of these features were already shown in the previous beta version. In this version, we fixed all known bugs and optimized the #components. Web site: https://www.trichview.com/

Wrapping up the Tweening animation library for VCL, so that is ready to ship to patrons after work tomorrow. Next on our list is PixelRage! Been wanting to finish this for quite some time. It supports 8-32 BPP, layers, fast pixel conversion used on blitter level (so you can copy a pixmap to another using alpha blending, color key - and it will convert the pixel data ad-hoc. If you draw a 32 bit pixmap onto an 8 bit image, it will try to map the colors (and it does a great job).

It reminds me a bit about Paint Shop Pro if anyone remembers that? You can do pixel art, but also have high level brush functionality etc. #Embarcadero #Delphi #Patreon #VCL https://www.patreon.com/posts/pixelrage-21312723

This is the third episode of our tutorial on how to build a database engine from scratch. This time we implement sequence (or record) persistency, the metadata layer and we are basically ready to connect the table definitions to actual record data being stored! This is a code heavy post so snuggle up with your ipad - or just fork the code from bitbucket and check it out!

Thank you for your support! As promised here is the license management package. Work now begins on porting over Ironwood, the new serial number minting engine, to Delphi and C++ builder.

Thank you to everyone that has contributed to the document (see "files section" in the Delphi Developer Facebook group) but we need more! I urge everyone to take 5 minutes to check the document and add a Delphi or C++ builder club if it's not already there. This is extremely important! Be pro-active, don't leave it to chance or someone else. Be the change!

I wonder what that means for Delphi development. Is he going to work on the actual compiler and/or IDE? Or is it just another position in extended marketing?

Originally shared by TRichView We have released a beta update of our rich text editing and reporting #VCL components for #Delphi and #CBuilder: #TRichView 17.3, RichViewActions 7.1, ScaleRichView 8.2. In this update, all strings are converted to Unicode for all versions of Delphi, where it is possible. The new version supports Unicode characters that have codes greater than $FFFF (in UnicodeString, they are represented by two characters). "Insert Symbol" dialog is reworked, now it supports all blocks specified in the modern Unicode standard. There are some other improvements. For example, reading merge fields from RTF, exporting links to URLs in PDF in #ReportBuilder wrapper, optimization. Smart Mobile Studio 3.0 is set to be a game changer. With a completely rewamped RTL, rock solid component architecture, support for the latest node.js and phonegap targets, unified storage device drivers and much, much more - you can now do "full stack" development using Smart Pascal exclusively. This means implementing a fast and clustered server back-end, coupled with HTML5, desktop and mobile executable targets via phonegap.
