No, and so far, no.
ReplyDeleteYes, just the basic one.
ReplyDeleteLOL. No, thanks.
ReplyDeleteNot yet, just haven't gotten around to it yet
ReplyDeleteNever really got around to it. Possibly handy if you do consultancy.
ReplyDeleteI was going to a while back, because I read you could get the basic certification for free if you had a RAD Studio license, but for some reason it didn't work.
ReplyDeleteYes, certified as developer.
ReplyDeleteIt's shame that certification is valid only for 2 years. I know that Delphi changes rapidly but how much it can change in 2 years? It discourages me.
ReplyDeleteFor me, "no" to both questions.
ReplyDeleteI feel that It might give some (marginal) credibility to those seeking a position within a Delphi shop, but when it comes to clients, I've not yet met one that even knows what Delphi is. ;)
Yes, also as developer
ReplyDeleteYep, got a developer cert too while it was free.
ReplyDeleteTo be entirely blunt, judging by some of the questions/answers, as well as the quality of EMBT's own code lately, passing the certification may not in itself constitute a strictly positive assessment of skills. It's certainly not black, but there's enough grey to make it not white.
ReplyDeleteBeing a "homegrown" developer and non-native english speaker i never paid much attention to the nomenclature of coding. I'm more of a "compiler-interactor"* and architect (sic). So sitting down and ticking the correct word for something i know pretty well how to do and get to work will not reflect on my abilities as a developer and problem solver. So... no.
ReplyDeleteNot certified, don't see any real benefit for me.
