There must be some major changes, because we need to uninstall update 1 before applying update 2

    Seriously - do you have to uninstall to do the upgrade!?

    It asks if you want to proceed with uninstall before installing.

    It's in the release note, dunno what make recently updates have to uninstall previous version first

    It means they release it too fast for the RTM and Update 1 and there is a fundamental problem in there that need to do a complete reinstall

    I've written my share of installers, and it does boil down to replacing files (possibly after killing processes), tweaking registry entries and reconnecting various bits and pieces.  A complete uninstall and reinstall for an update?  They should toss out the tool they use, Nick Hodges.
