Just spent half an hour with my coworkers trying to work out whether team coherence supports exploratory branching. The answer appears to be "yes, via git".

  1. yes, labels and views, plus all files have to be read-only be default (and because it's file-based, tools that require write access to all files, like just about anything from this century, make checking stuff in and out awesomely painful). It's like going back in time. The read-only thing makes using git in paralell almost not worth the effort.
