You have a point there. But there is a price to pay. I'm not interested in Android or Windows phone, no religion there, just my business case. But if you need all these platforms than I suppose that Delphi is much better choice than Xamarin, or other non native solutions.
You are completely right. For native iOS code - XCode only. Its great and i really love it. For cross-mobile development i recommend "PhoneGap" ("Cordova"). For web is much better php.
My next project is a packet of programs for management of restaurants - we must to just convert the old version of the program (written in Delphi for Windows based machines). The goal is: 1. Using the same code base and the same logic; 2. Connect to the same database but with options for other SQL servers; 3. Front Client for Windows, Android, Mac OS and iOS; I'll try to make all this with Delphi and... with the same programmers :)
