Just wondering...  anyone here actually developing for Android? With anything?

And if so, what device have you chosen to use as a test piece?

  1. Used SmartMobileStudio with Cordova (PhoneGap). It does a lot of the job but the Cordova plugin stuff is a bit jittery and needs testing - lots of updates too. The best thing about SMS is that you can test a lot of the stuff in a browser window - basic navigation and app logic - that can take a LOT of time if you are locked into an emulator. Looking forward to Android Studio since i use JetBrains for other projects and their products are usually top notch.

  2. Are there any tutorials on using SmartMobileStudio in this way Dany Marmur ? That's a route for Android development I was seriously thinking about but gave up after I seemed to be unable to generate a simple hello world app. It was the last part, getting from a working browser page to an Android app where I failed.

  3. Daniela Osterhagen you could e-mail the SMS people. They are quite nice when it comes to giving pointers to where to search. I had a version that did not have an "Android CSS" - i signed up for a free account on PhoneGap and put my "bin" directory in a zip-file and uploaded. Thats the big picture from the top of my head.
