Took a day, but there it is

  1. For those with funds and time and resources to update all their 3rd party tools etc, this maybe so.
In reality, however, many developers stick with a version they have set up and are comfortable with for some while (typically rather longer than 6 months), particularly if a new version offers nothing for them. If an XE4 iOS developer is not interested in Android, then XE5 will do nothing for them (barring a couple of iOS bug fixes) other than burn a large hole in their pocket. Unless of course they are on Enterprise level SA.
And given that XE4 came out a mere 6 months ago, many people will have only very recently have got around to installing it.

  2. Couldn't agree more with Brian Long - I think they should still be supporting and updating XE2/3/4 - maybe then they would sort some of long standing issues - such as the dancing text everyone moans about, or the speed of tlistbox in FMX.
