I can't connect to https://forums.embarcadero.com/ today; both Chrome and Firefox tell me that the certificate was revoked. Thunderbird also fails to connect to the newsgroups.

That happens every weekend - they have a routine maintenance, as it seems.
ReplyDeleteIt appears to be fixed: I can connect to that site without problems.
ReplyDeleteProblem still exists on my site. Perhaps something is wrong on my system.
ReplyDeleteInstead of a maintainance page, EMBT forums give an SSL error when they're down. Sometimes it takes a while before the error goes away, even if they're up from other IPs...
ReplyDeleteNo, the SSL certificate for *.embarcadero.com has been revoked. I've used this SSL Certificate Checker:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.digicert.com/help/
The certificate was about to expire in 4 days (2013-10-16), but it was revoked (recently?).
NNTP works and Firefox works too after disabling the certificate validation over OCSP
ReplyDeleteUwe, what is OCSP? TIA
ReplyDeleteOnline Certificate Status Protocol
ReplyDeletehttp://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/OCSP
You find this option in the Firefox options
EN: Advanced -> Page Certificates -> Button Validation -> Checkbox "Use ... OCSP..."
DE: Erweitert -> Seite Zertifikate -> Schalter Validierung -> Häkchen "Das ... OCSP..."
OK, I'll try that.
ReplyDeleteI reported it to embarcadero.
ReplyDeleteplain http (without ssl) sometimes work when https fails
