Ctrl+Shift+F: In XE2, this is labeled as "Search -> Find in Files".

However, it doesn't do this function; instead, the IDE wants you to highlight, in source, the name of a visual-component and it will automatically flip to "Design-Mode" and highlight the component.
Pretty useful, but not as described. I'd rather do the "Search -> Find in Files" instead.
Was this behavior fixed in later versions of Delphi?

Experts conflict?
ReplyDeleteI read that GExperts can't change the IDE's default shortcuts (see below). I could have sworn that Ctrl+Shift+F didn't work in a stock install, but I'll test that again.

Delphi 8 - XE4:
- It is no longer possible for addins to override some built-in IDE
shortcuts. You may need to configure your GExperts shortcuts (Prev/Next
Identifier, Procedure List, etc.) to not conflict with your selected
keymapping. Also, the Macro Library can not always intercept the
Shift+Ctrl+R keystroke to automatically grab keyboard macros, so you may
need to create macros using the recording functions in the toolbar.
Thanks. It was indeed GExperts:
