  1. Hi, but where can I find the partner CD? We have a subscriptionn and till now only downloaded ISO-files from EDN.

  2. http://edn.embarcadero.com/article/29797 has some comments that shines some light on this.  Apparently, there has not been any partner CDs since XE2.

I do love BC, so I bought mine directly from Craig Peterson at www.scootersoftware.com :)

  3. I did not know that it is only $30. Looking for the free version has cost me more than purchasing :-(

  7. Yep, Delphi/C++Builder/RAD Studio all include Beyond Compare Lite out of the box.  It's only ~1.5MB, so it's just part of the base install rather than being split out like the larger third-party items.

The integration is more complete than what we included in XE2: There's a "Compare" submenu in the Project Manager treeview and  in the Edit menu, and the context menu for the editor tabs has commands similar to our Explorer integration.  You can also click a button on the "History" tab to launch it with the currently visible diff.

  8. Beyond Compare is plugged into almost everything I do.  A developer's machine without BC, is like a bike without wheels.

  9. The IDE will use a full-up copy of BC instead of the "lite" version if you buy BC separately.  BC has changed my life :-)

  10. Wasn't aware of BC or its integration, have been using KDiff3 app under win & osx but will have to take a compare….so to speak

  11. Hi Craig,
how do you manage to build an delphi program with only 1.5MB ??? :-)

  12. BCLite is compressed using UPX.  We don't do that with the full release, but since the lite version is designed to be included with other apps we wanted to keep the size down.
