Dalija Prasnikar I have observed that beginning with XP, there has been a considerable difference in system footprint, as a function of available RAM. You can see this, for example, if you run a VM with XP in 512MB of RAM. That has been quite sufficient to run Office 2007, or even Office 2010. On the other hand, on this machine (i7 quad core with 32GB RAM), 64-bit Windows itself loads close to 4GB.
thanks Dalija, I've used D2009 on a netbook and it worked, but was under Win 7; and yes, just found that a 32 SSD has about only 20 free :/
