Sadly the most annoying "External Bluetooth Keyboards on Android only support US/English-kKeyboardlayout" bug is still there in Delphi XE6 Update 1.
Any chance to get this one fixed in the future - I kind of start loosing faith on this - for I am waiting already since 9/15/13.

  1. I can confirm it is not fixed, despite what the QC says. I need to figure out the real status internally. I know this was discussed and we even bought Bluetooth keyboards to investigate the bug and test it...

  3. Malcolm Kudra IMO, there are times backwards compatibility is sound, and there are times when we need to move forward, otherwise the compromise is too great and we fall behind on progress.

I, for one, can't remember one time when we needed to support an older version of OS, product without compromise and a lot of waste just because the client is not willing to move forward or can't for whatever reason; in short, with respect to mobile development, it's progressing very fast in contrast to desktop/laptops and it will continue to do so, betting on a third party solution rather than main source forces you not only to be behind in terms of latest support, but also puts you in a risky position -- that's just my thought...

The "one time app" concept works great for locking in on a deal, but anything more than that will prove not to be cost effective -- I had a second-hand experience on this just recently when I've advised pro XCode for an iOS app, about 3 months in and a lot of money, development moved to XCode, the progress is much higher now, yet, the hit is still there... and it won't be covered for probably another 6 months or so.
