How can i access my SD card from my phone through an Windows APP in firemonkey? From the windows explorer i get a path like 'XPERIA U\Internal Storage\Download' ... but this cant be used as path to read a file with FileExists or TStringlist.loadfromfile.

When i connect my sony xperia no.... it appears as a device in the devices and printers tab and i can access the files from there... but no drive letter

I'm sorry, I misunderstood "from my phone" as meaning it was the SD card taken from your phone and put in a SD reader. But are you plugging in your phone via a USB cable, to access the files on the SD card (still physically in the phone) that way?
ReplyDeleteThat's more difficult - it probably depends on device drivers etc.
Try using Process Explorer and see what file handles Explorer has open. One may be the phone or SD card, and it might have a UNC path \\foo\bar\etc, which might provide a hint.
Tiago Rodrigues Try looking for settings on your phone that would enable mounting it as disk instead of media device.
