That is not quite right imo. Your application will be listed. The answer on SO says to specify the icon/display you have to write these values in the [Setup] section.
IS by default uses AppVerName as display name.
From the help:
UninstallDisplayName
This lets you specify a custom name for the program's entry in the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel applet. The value may include constants. If this directive is not specified or is blank, Setup will use the value of [Setup] section directive AppVerName for the name.
Stefan Glienke I stand corrected. It is the referring to the Icon/Display. I just looked at the script for my program which did not show up in the Control Panel > Programs and Features an the AppVerName directive was commented out. (I'm a dumbass)

ReplyDeleteI still use NSIS (http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page), very reliable.
ReplyDeleteInnoSetup is very nice and quick to learn and use. Writing extension code in Pascal is a bonus :)
