Worth pursuing?
It is currently just for existing posts and not automated yet for newer posts, given it is using the free tier of Microsoft Translator, I want to first make sure there are no bugs that could burn through my free credits in no time :)
On the downside, while the free credits should be sufficient to translate content from non-English to English, they would likely not be to translate everything from English to non-English (not for more than couple languages anyway)

Definitely worth pursuing. One question: could you perhaps put something there to make it clear it's been auto-translated? A big world globe icon or something? That way we're aware where the text comes from - that it's not what was written by the blog author (especially good if the translation engine makes a mistake.)

IMO you only need to translate what's shown on the feed page, since anyone going to the blog can translate it themselves or automatically via their browser.
IMO translating English posts to other languages just isn't worth the effort. Somebody who uses Delphi must know English.
ReplyDeleteTranslated posts are now tagged visually, with a big conspicuous text pill :)
ReplyDeleteBy "everything" I meant translating all feed titles + descriptions in many languages. Translating to a "handful" of languages might be possible.
