It worked with Delphi XE8 but does not seem to work with Delphi XE8 Update1. Marco Cantù Did Nexus 4 deployment work in your tests (with and without previous uninstall of a previous deployed apk with the same name)?

Hi Marco Cantù .
ReplyDeleteThanks for caring.
As I commented in this thread - the problem was solved by adding privileges to the project.
I saw it, but it honestly sound a bit odd to me. Did you create a new project, or just recompiled the current one? I'm wondering if there has been a change in the defaults or something.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm actually quite happy Google decided to move to iOS style of permission (asked to the use at runtime), but I guess older versions of Android will still work the same.
I recompiled the current one. But who knows perhabs my customer juts decided to install to external storage and that is why the privilege was missing.
ReplyDeleteI am happy that it is working :-)
Keep up the good work of improving my favorite dev tool. Thanks.
