Xe8 Enterprise + Update 1 - just do the following:
1. Make a simple DataSnap server:
 - protocol: TCP/IP;
 - IPAddress - your IPAddress;
 - Port: 211;
 - PC1/RSA/Zlib;
 - sample methods;
2. Compile and start;
3. Make a simple VCL client for this server;
4. Go to "ClientModuleUnit1";
5. Click over "SQLConnection1" with right mouse button and choose "Generate DataSnap client classes";

The result is... a NEW unit with the name "Unit1" !?$~@??
Not the same unit (ClientClassesUnit1) which is generated at the creation of the "Clientmodule" - a NEW unit ???

So... this is a new feature or a bug? :)
For me... it is confusing and ... this is definitely a bug for me.
Does anyone know about this...  or it only happens to me?

  1. At least it stays consistent when you save or rename that unit. The dproj then contains two entries for , so it definitely looks like a bug. Can you file a QP, please?

  3. Uwe Raabe Done - report number: 132518.
    :)
    BTW: I can not submit a new report for XE8 because the combo box with versions are not filled correctly. The XE8 version missed.
    In the web version... also.

  4. That is because you filed it in the deprecated QualityCentral instead of the new Quality Portal: https://quality.embarcadero.com
