Hello!
Hello!
So... I got a bit of friendly tease to do for Julian Bucknall :)
Julian, I am sure you already know this, but DevExpress isn't allowed to "cheat" :) If you sell an RTF control, it MUST contain code to print the document :D
You can't ship it without that! At the very least, provide a way in code to do it - and use it in the demos :D
I looked into the Demos and the action for printing is invisible!!!
DevExpress isn't allowed that luxury, we're spoiled! :D

I was interested when I first saw it first announced but since it cannot handle HTML it's useless for us (using TRichView currently which is...) - and please don't tell me to write my own RTF/HTML converter ;)
ReplyDeleteHey, Stefan Glienke you could write your own HTML Converter! LOL
ReplyDeleteNo, seriously, there's a really good one (at least, it used to support bundles of features) but can't remember the name :)

The latest update(15.1.5) added the functionality to the Express Printing System to print it.
ReplyDeleteThe express printing system is something really alien. DX have had a demand for html controls for a long time now. Personally I'll throw RTF to the void when there's a consistent suite of controls that handle basic HTML formatting.
