+Fred +Joseph Thank you for the kind and flattering comments. I'd prefer to think that I'm just a part of the Delphi community on SO and I like to send out a big up to that community. The body of knowledge on SO is down the contributions of many and I think it's right to focus on the whole rather than any individual.
ReplyDeletePersonally I think David Heffernan is some kind of super-advanced AI programmed to answer everything about Delphi. Some kind of secret project ran by someone who just happens to like Delphi so he's testing his top-secret government AI algorithms out with Delphi SO questions. Just my theory.
ReplyDeleteI think both our Davids are Goliaths in the Delphi community. The old giant David Heffernan for his tireless efforts in answering our questions for a long time, and the new titan David Millington, for his extremely functional and well written plugins. May he keep the goodies coming! Naturally, Eric Grange, Andreas Hausladen, and A. Bouchez deserve this as well. I would also mention Marco Cantù for being caught between a rock and a hard place as product manager and community participant as well as author, and also a huge thanks to Nick Hodges for his new books and previous endurance in the same role as Marco. The list goes on, and there are many people that help and nurture our Object Pascal world. May it always be that way.
