I'm wondering whether anyone here knows of any libraries in support of limited English semantic analysis. Not research level stuff, but something which may be sufficient to help identify problems in material which has been scanned.

I'm wondering whether anyone here knows of any libraries in support of limited English semantic analysis. Not research level stuff, but something which may be sufficient to help identify problems in material which has been scanned. 

Alternately, I could imagine some sort of analyzer which would recognize pattern errors -- such as I see often from OCRed text at a given font and size -- which could be a possibly less complex approach.

This is not for a commercial work, just for my own use.
