Nice. I did something similar for my app. An interesting addition is to have a progress bar on the splash form, to give a hint to the user that the app is indeed loading.
ReplyDeleteGreat article Uwe, and well written. I've successfully used this technique in my app as my main form takes a while to load on older phones and in some cases the os killed the app completely as it thought it had stalled! This solved it nicely so highly recommended
