  1. Sure, waiting from some facts about Centennial. Was promised at last BUILD, but nothing was delivered...

  2. In related news, I saw they've pulled the plug on Astoria as well.

  3. Marco Cantù No plans for Islandwood (once Astoria has gone) ?

  4. Marco Cirinei Islandwod isn't useful for Delphi, since it is a compiler to compile Objective-C iOS apps to the Universal Windows Platform. And, there is currently some work done to be able to compile Swift applications to UWP.

Astoria on the other hand looked to be an environment where an Android APK app would've been able to run on Windows 10 Mobile( and I'm not certain about the desktop). Marco Cantù was able to create a proof of concept with an Android app created with Delphi, to show that it was feasible. My feeling is that Idera/Embarcadero will have to make their case to Microsoft to continue the development of Astoria.

  5. Daniel Rail I was quite sure Marco Cantù mentioned iOS bridge as a path to dig more as an alternative to Android one (when first news came out on the Astoria destiny). Maybe was someone else

  6. iOS bridge is worth digging into. As it is today, not an option

There's a non-surprise. It's also a heavy blow for FMX... you just can't out-Microsoft Microsoft, as past Borland history shows.
