Anyone else think that Embarcadero should migrate EDN to something that actually functions reasonably? Like any CMS ever?

The current site seems to be some custom ASP/.NET solution.
It is really quite odd.

  1. I have to admit I rarely visit community.embarcadero.com. Initially because it was dead slow and really badly organized, and now because of the unsecured login page.

  2. Lars Fosdal you can force it to HTTPS and there is a fix coming to do that automatically.

  3. Actually, I have looked at the new community site, and I am not that impressed by it, especially speed-wise. And to not default to https on a site with a login, would have been very bad judgement in 2010 already IMO.
Embarcadero should really think about its community, and especially look at how suppliers and developers do in other ecosystems. I have not actually bought the license yet, as I won't start developing the app in a month or so. And even though I before that have used Delphi for 15 years, I am now sort of having mixed feelings if this is how Embarcadero handles its most important asset, its developer community.
Embarcadero should really benefit from being a little more like the rest in that regard.
