I've just published a new OTA article on getting help for a keyword in the IDE when the IDE's help has no information by bring up a dockable browser with an internet search.

  1. I always install the help just in case I'm working where there is no internet connection

  2. David Millington if you count the "Welcome page" as dockable, you might want to look into Delphi7HelpForBDs (http://blog.dummzeuch.de/2013/02/03/delphi7help4bds/). It's available for Delphi 2005 to 10 Seattle. Despite its name, it not only can display the Delphi 7 help but also any configurable internet url, including the keyword at the current cursor position. E.g. http://www.google.com/search?q=delphi+-automotive+%22$(HelpString)%22

  3. Thomas Mueller I do have that somewhere (probably not configured for XE7) so will have a look. I do kind of miss the old WinHelp system.
