ReplyDeleteLance Rasmussen MSSQL-ADO and Adz Baywes UniDAC are on the board. SQLite/MySQL were requested at specified forum page. DevArt seems missing. I guess the fun just begins (;

You can see DevArt's UniDAC and PgDAC in the list. I was not able to test the latter properly, because the trial was unexpectedly ended in 1 day (https://plus.google.com/+DevartSoftware is summoned). We will add support for other components too, but actually, it is not absolutely necessary. These data providers simply allow hiding implementation completely, they just need to be linked with the report generator component, and no additional code is necessary. But any TDataSet component can be used via our universal DB data provider component (you can provide a new TDataSet component in an event, or link an existing component). We need to stop somewhere, otherwise Report Workshop will never be released. Additional data providers can be added after the first release. But suggestions of DB components are still welcome.
