I just want to leave a big "Thank you!" here to all 3rd party developers of components, libraries, tools and add-ons who released updated versions for Delphi 10.1 Berlin so soon within 24 hours after the official release of the new version.

I really appreciate all the effort put into enabling us to use the newest Delphi release as soon as possible.
Edit: It was a little bit stupid to limit this to the first 24 hours. This post actually applies to all developers who put all efforts into enabling an early upgrade to the newest Delphi version.

ReplyDeleteWaiting for Spring... :-) Does not compile because the changes in class helper :-(
ReplyDeleteNo word on MMX yet either :'(
ReplyDeleteStill, I share your appreciation of the third-party devs :)
ReplyDeleteTeeChart "Pro" for Berlin is around the corner !
ReplyDeleteDavid Berneda I've been meaning to ask you about a "caching" thing Simon was working on for you. Did you finalize that or is that still outstanding on his project list?
ReplyDeleteFriedrich Westermann Support will be there after the coming weekend - currently on a "source code free" vacation ;)
ReplyDeleteStefan Glienke So you are on a DCU vacation? (Drinking, Cooking and Unwinding)?
ReplyDelete;)
Drinking, Camping, Unleashing-hell-on-wood-with-an-axe ;)
ReplyDeleteStefan Glienke have a nice time ;-)
ReplyDeleteDoing the Build Process for ESBPCS for VCL as I type :)
ReplyDeleteDaniel Jackson I'll check that test project and let you know, I think remember there was an some important issue (maybe font transparency, I don't remember exactly). The gains using the cache were important, but the issue was a showstopper (for me)
ReplyDeleteDavid Berneda Okay, well don't hesitate to give me a shout. I'm working my way through Simon's backlog.
ReplyDeleteFred Ahrens "It was a little bit stupid to limit this to the first 24 hours" - you mean the world is round? (:
ReplyDeleteNo DevExpress VCL or Digital-Metaphors Report Builder yet. These guys always take their time ;-(
ReplyDeleteTony Danby Yes, DevExpress, in fact this time they had it ready even before the Berlin release and Julian Bucknall blogged about it (https://community.devexpress.com/blogs/ctodx/archive/2016/04/20/devexpress-vcl-subscription-supports-rad-studio-10-1-berlin.aspx)
