Since our code base is not Unicode ready, there is no point in upgrading.

ReplyDeleteGive me a working and stable Unicode version of tdbf and I'll try again. I spent a lot of time doing the necessary changes myself, but time has now become a big problem. (And I'm not going to spend my spare time on that, it's not fun.)

ReplyDeleteAchim Kalwa It's here: (https://www.embarcadero.com/cn/radoffer) Looks like it's targeting Chinese customers. Well, as someone who cannot bear with slow programs, I will seriously consider the upgrade once a new version of IDE Fix Pack is ready.
ReplyDeleteBecause of missing new database connectivity (add-on only) in pro we prefer doing new projects in c#. Old projects stay at 2007 or xe5. There are no important things for vcl windows developers which are a must have. But the missing resharper for Delphi is a pain.
ReplyDeleteBernd Ott agree about Resharper I wish this was available for Delphi. Things like the new CodeInsight from DevJet have potential but Resharper is very cool and nothing like it for Delphi
