Nice, but is there any version history of a package in GetIt ?
ReplyDeleteI mean, sometime a deprecated feature, or code refactoring can make the package incompatible with the project...
What about projects from earlier version of Delphi ?
And sometime you have to take the Github release anyway :/

About updating the entries, we had a lag and now starting to back fill it.
ReplyDeleteThe versioning issue is a good one we'd like to support and trying to come up with a good open-ended solution for.
I guess to resolve the project dependencies the packages will be installed globally, right?
ReplyDeleteOliver Münzberg I guess into $(BDSCatalogRepository).
ReplyDeleteUwe Raabe so a project dependency (local) will change the installed components of the user IDE (global) - I hope everyone is aware of that (with an eye on the maybe coming versioning)
ReplyDeleteJEDI is no more on GetIt/Berlin ?
