Bill Meyer Are you proposing I query the color temperature used and adjust the function accordingly? I'm not sure Windows allows me to query the color temp.
Johan Bontes Not telling you what to do, as I do not know your application area. Just offering some additional insight, which may or may not be useful.

Wow amazingly it does: GetMonitorColorTemperature: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd692941(v=vs.85).aspx
Johan Bontes Unless this is for a calibrated display, I wouldn't worry about color temperature, just stick to D65.
