    a number of people say they will stick with Windows 7...but support for that will stop eventually ..we need Delphi Linux support (desktop GUI)

    As mentioned, not for TDateTime. However, the DOS file date is affected and this has consequences to the compilers and the intermediate files is generated (given time stamps are used to check a file compilation). So we have to fix DCU and compilers in the next 20 years, there should be enough time.
