All the advice in the world won't help if your client says no. Then you have to decide whether to discount, or turn away from the work. And the answer to that depends on how badly you need the work. It's economics in action, and not simply a matter of what you want to charge.
We could actually get a bit creative? If you make a sketch of the quote w/o price-tags, i could say what i would charge. I would probably just start to ask a lot of detailed questions instead because that is what i usually do when i get such a request. Then you'll probably say that you do not want to disclose some of those details here... Could be worth a try though.
