My update to Berlin Anniversary (from the original Berlin) went smoothly, with one exception: The Bonus Konopka controls are not available in the IDE.

The GetIt screen only shows an uninstall option. And when I select it, I get these messages:

Uninstalling "Konopka Signature VCL Controls 6.2.2"...
A problem occurred during the process.

Anyone have any hints on how to manually uninstall it so I can reinstall?

Thanks (and sorry to clutter the forum which such mundane questions.)

  1. run windows regedit.exe, search for Konopka, then delete the registry setting about that package from the registry.
then you should be able to install it again from getit
the problem occurs if you cancelled the original install
you will need to redeem to get the registration code

  2. If you have misconfiguration in GetIt you can try cleaning up at two levels:
    - The information about GetIt packages is stored in the registry, under the product key, CatalogRepository, there is a entry with the list and individual items. Go delete the entire Konopka section.
    - The actual binaries are stored under PublicDoc (I think), CatalogRepository, there is a physical folder with the old downloads.
Cleaning one or both of these location, should get you unblocked.
