Anyone here moved from Delphi to Windows Forms/C#? Just curious if there are any equivalents for the DBGrid, DBMemo (bindings and other controls like that) in the Windows Forms/C# world.

I know Windows Forms is not a new technology but I only have experience with Delphi when it comes to these kind of apps.

Are these kind of apps (using DBGrid/bindings) easier or harder to build in the Windows Forms/C# world?

  1. Wpf has already been replace with windows universal (which only runs on windows 10). Microsofts desktop strategy is a cluster**

  2. Bogdan D Check Syncfusion ( syncfusion.com - 800+ Free controls and frameworks for .NET (Windows Forms, WPF, MVC, Web Forms, LightSwitch, Silverlight, Windows Phone, WinRT, Windows 8), iOS, Android, Xamarin and JavaScript platforms ). The community license is free for individual developers or up to five users at companies with annual gross revenue below $1 million USD, pretty much the same restrictions as the Visual Studio Community edition. It has ALL of the components without restrictions. We're using them in C#/WPF and ASP.Net MVC development. The grid is very similar to the DevExpress grid.
