    Thanks for the links, and I found a use case - along with the mosquitto mqtt server (a very small download), we can have a really lightweight pub/sub combination for inter-process or inter-machine communication :)

    If you need a heavy duty commercial publish/subscribe, check out Tibco Rendezvous and Tibco FTL. Expensive, but awesome.
