There's a link that goes to a page the lists features that Kotlin has that Java doesn't, and vice versa. Many of the same kinds of things people would like to see in Delphi.

Linas Naginionis No parentheses on for loops or better array or map declaration with just [] instead of arrayof()/mutableMapOf().

Stefan Glienke Yes, I agree that arrays or maps declarations are a bit nicer in Swift. OTOH, Kotlin looks a bit less verbose. They both are great languages, IMO.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot to like about both Kotlin and Swift, sadly I've given up hope of ever seeing that sort of language enhancement in Delphi.. embarcadero are just not interested.. oh wait.. we'll get nullable types next year, maybe. sigh
