  1. DCCIOSARM64.EXE was introduced in XE8. I can't really imagine anyone doing iOS work in Delphi is working with anything earlier than that, given Apple's rather gung-ho attitude to breaking backwards compatibility when it comes tool chains.

  2. Friedrich Westermann The only problem would probably be with simulator. If 32 bit is no longer supported on devices, it's a fair bet that it's the same for simulator, and there is no 64 bit simulator compiler in Delphi

  4. Mac also dropping support for 32 bit soon. I think high sierra is the last os release to support 32 bit. Thank god

Will the Delphi macOS compiler be there in time?

  6. Friedrich Westermann the problem is that parts of the Delphi tool chain still require 32-bit stuff on Mac OS X on the path to 64-bit iOS.

  7. OS X 64 bit is on the roadmap for RAD studio 10.3, which is planned for 2018... Looks like we will have the same situation as when iOS apps were required to include 64 bit - before Delphi offered 64 bit iOS.
