  5. H Visli it should be in continuous focus mode, but may depend if your camera supports this mode. Talking with Edward, he said one shot focusing (autofocus) should be enough but if you have both items in your hands (smartphone and barcode) I think continuous focus may help. Perhaps it should be available as a setting of the app...

  6. The continuous focus works well with a basic phone like S4 mini but few minutes it overheats.

Fredy Caballero Sure, I think this is normal... camera is always a power drain, even if using official Android app, if you record a 10 minutes video you can get your device overheated (I currently use a Nexus 5X but the same happens to my wife's iPhone 6). If you heavily need to read barcodes it is far better to have a device with an optical reader (easy to find Android devices with this sensor). They are faster, don't need camera for targeting and are not a power drain...
