I can't believe such a bug in the formatter still exists in Delphi 10.2!

I can't believe such a bug in the formatter still exists in Delphi 10.2!
(Just to make this clear: The properly formatted code is before pressing Ctrl+D.)

https://quality.embarcadero.com/browse/RSP-18273

(And I also can't believe that the bugreport form removes any formatting from the entered text :-( ).

  1. {code} is the proper tag for formatting code in JIRA (click on the question mark below the memo to get a help)

  2. Thanks. Does it say so anywhere on the page?

  3. Question marks are the icon for getting help since ages and in the tool tip it says "get local help about wiki markup help" - what else do you need? Flashing bold text in the header?

  4. Stefan Glienke OK, OK, I admit I'm stupid.

  5. Attila Kovacs I remember seeing bugs like this when the formatter was introduced in - when was that? Delphi 2010? - which was one reason why I never used it but kept maintaining and extending the GExperts Code Formatter. But I had assumed that by now, 10 releases later, most of these bugs had been fixed.

  6. /offtopic but related: You can also use {code} to get proper monospace/no reformat when posting in the EMBT forums.
