Hello!

Hello!
What are the outstanding issues that you have found blocking or really annoying in Tokyo?

Specifically I am seeking clarifications in the following areas:

1) IDE
2) Compilers
3) Mobile (Android most of all)
4) Anything else

I am trying to make my mind up as to if I should install it or not.

  1. My biggest blocker is the still-broken Android support. The hotfix solved some of the issues but there are still outstanding problems that need addressing. The latest XCode is still not properly supported so you have to use a workaround to build, and given there's another version due in a month or two which will probably break it worse. I'd stay with Berlin unless you really need something in Tokyo...

  2. Andrea Raimondi for me the biggest issues are on the Android + IOS (I don't use it) platforms. I'm stuck so far with Berlin

  3. slow code completion (slooow parsing), poor optimized code generated by ancient compiler (dcc32)

  4. True to tradition, we are holding 10.2 until Update 1 arrives.

  5. Jacek Laskowski If you care about performance, why use dcc32 rather than dcc64? Not that its codegen is that much better, but surely your program would run faster outside the WOW64 emulator.

  6. there are a lot of things annoying. code inside, error inside ;-) refactoring not working mostly. It is the sum of the little things. I'm working most of my day with mixed VS and Delphi, it is my "feeling" that VS is more robust. But thats me and so i don't know for sure. My feeling is that the Idea needs more love....
