    The reason it was added on the WIndows platform (from what I remember) is it is required field for Store apps via Desktop Bridge. Each platform has its own specific settings. You are right this should not be saved in the version info, though....

    We get version information from our project management system (Redmine) so not an issue.

    In fact here is a video I have done about our process, obviously featuring FinalBuilder :-)
