  1. Stéphane Wierzbicki Yes, I had the same impression. It is probably that combined with the limited number of the audience this library is targeting.
It also seems that the multi license packages are a bit underrepresented. This may be caused by the fact that companies usually have problems putting their money on kickstarter projects. It is simply a matter of formalities. Often it is already a bit tedious to get money for buying software. It may be near to impossible to get it for software that may or may not exist ever.

  2. This says it could make it kicktraq.com - ImageEn Imaging Library for FireMonkey but that being said there are a number of issues with it that makes it difficult. They don't have a video with the project. The incentives are kind of weak especially in the upper tiers. What other kickstarters do is give the first backers a discount (in this case the first 20 backers could have gotten 50% off the real cost maybe). The time frame of the bidding process may be too long (30 days is usually better). The amount being asked for may be too high. Personally I would probably pledge at the $150 level but not really going to pledge at the $300 level. Also it takes a lot of promotion work to get a KickStarter to be successful (constantly updating the Kickstarter for the existing people who've pledged so they help promote and really getting the link out there).

  3. I think what Delphi people are going to have to finally come to grips with is that people just don't pay for software anymore. It's the "golden era of open source". Now, there are people who will pay for developers to work on an open source project via Patreon and other means, but asking for hundreds of dollars to pay for the development of a commercial software package... that's something else.
