the NON VCL grid for WinForms will get a graphical boost. I guess DX VCL already has this because they go on about pixel scrolling and that has been available in VCL DX for some times now. So this huge boost of WinForms towards using modern GPUs and graphics is not needed for VCL. It is to inject some vitality into that (as they say lagging) platform.
The VCL Flavour will get a release (with matching version numbers) and that usually happen a couple of weeks after the other more microsofty versions.
New goodies there will probably be other stuff if i am guessing correctly.
However - i should be clear that i am speculating as i do not use that flavour of DevExpress, will not download the beta and only skimmed though a blog post.
