Walter Prins : for students, Free Pascal makes a lot more sense than Delph. FPC is totally free, includes all the source code, and the support is much better. Documentation is also better than Delphi's.
In fact Delphi XE3's help is so bad in content, and 90% of the time throws an AV when called upon, I actually use FPC's RTL documentation for my day-to-day references in help - even though I am using Delphi.
