OmniThreadLibrary book is 99% finished. Now I'm looking for a native-speaking proofreader. I need somebody to go through the book, fix my bad statements etc.

OmniThreadLibrary book is 99% finished. Now I'm looking for a native-speaking proofreader. I need somebody to go through the book, fix my bad statements etc.

If you know somebody who does such work, can you get me in contact, please? I'm paying, of course, and I understand that such work is not done for a fiver.

  1. Primož, are you still porting OTL to other platforms (mobile, osx, linux) or no plan yet to complete? Thx

  2. Hi Primoz, I am happy to proofread the book for free. Send it over.

  3. In terms of the language (not content completeness), I'm satisfied with the current edition ;)

  4. Nirav Kaku, are you native English speaker? Edwin Yip Thanks, but I'm pretty sure the book needs another eye. I want to prepare a print edition and it should be as good as it gets ... What are you missing in terms of content completeness?

  5. By native if you mean, whether I am English, American, Australian so on and so forth... no... I am Indian.

But, I am pretty sure my English is at par (if not better) with most people who speak English. :-)

  6. Primož Gabrijelčič Maybe I need to rephrase - my statement above was based on my impression of the PDF book approximately two years ago, when I had to frequently check the book during programming using OTL, but obviously there have been a lot of updates since then :P That being said, at the moment I really don't have anything in my mind as to what's missing from your book.

  7. What sort of person are you looking for? Somebody with proof reading skills, or somebody with technical expertise in this domain? Or something else?

  8. David Heffernan Proof/language skills. I know I have a decent pool of people with technical skill accessible here at any moment :)

  9. Andre Felix Miertschink Yes, that is next on the list. Release book. Release the second book (already written, going through revising and copyediting now), then work on OTL4mobile.

  10. Primož Gabrijelčič OK, I think you are probably looking for someone other than me. Good luck.

  11. David Heffernan - if you'd like to provide me with feedback on the book and you don't have it yet, let me know.

  12. Primož Gabrijelčič Just FYI - today I needed to consult the book, and found that, while I can deduce that TOmniValueContainer.IndexOf must return -1 if the value is not found, but it might be clearer if the book has a description for it.
