If you own Delphi, C++ Builder or RAD Studio 10.2.2 Tokyo Enterprise or Architect, did you receive a serial number for the RAD Server Single Site/Single Server license included in these editions since Tokyo Update 2?

The serial numbers should have been sent by email on December 14th, 2017.

I didn't get any email.
ReplyDeleteI've even opened a support ticket with all details (edn account, serial number, email address) last week... And so far nothing arrived in my mailbox.
I could have sworn that you needed to contact EMB prior to installing it to get a license assigned to you. It wasn't supposed to be automatic.
ReplyDeleteIf you think about it, on the members web site under your registered products they should have put a free license as part of your subscription but then again that makes way too much sense.
This is the answer to my support ticket about this issue: "there was a email sent to all owners of Rad Studio with current subscription that included the serial number for you to use for the Rad studio server. This email was sent out on December 14, 2017". (never heard it was called "RAD studio server")
ReplyDeleteEmail dated 12/14/17:
ReplyDeleteDear Customer,
As part of our most recent update to RAD Studio, 10.2 Release 2, we’ve included a RAD Server Single Site Deployment License in the Enterprise and Architect versions. We are also providing the RAD Server Single Site Deployment Licenses to RAD Studio customers with one or more licenses of Enterprise or Architect on Update Subscription. You can find your license keys below.
. . .
It's NOT listed in the "My Registered Products" table.
David Schwartz Did you actually register it? Otherwise it won't appear there.
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't done anything with it yet. But after I paid for the latest Tokyo upgrade in August, it was showing up there before I'd loaded it up, so it doesn't seem consistent to me.
ReplyDeleteI can confirm that the plan was to send out an email to all current Update Subscription Customers with an Enterprise level license. And I know a lot of developers didn't receive them. Notice that email was sent to the "update subscription" contact, which could be a different email.
ReplyDeleteMarco Cantù l guess that must be an email issue. I had to change my email address on November 2017. How can we fix this?
ReplyDeleteI think the best approach is to contact support, but I'll ask again internally
ReplyDeleteMarco Cantù Support suggested to contact my Account Manager (also giving his email address) or sales@embarcadero.com. I did the former, but didn't receive an answer yet most likely due to the weekend, but that is no problem - I can wait a few days longer.
ReplyDeleteI've not been following this specific issue. I've forwarded this thread to the person who did, but in Texas time zone, so I don't expert an answer until much later today.
ReplyDeleteFinally I have got mine, too. I suggest everyone to contact your account manager or sales to get that serial number.
ReplyDeleteUwe Raabe I don't know my account manager name nor my sales name !. Didn't get any email since my ticket...
ReplyDeleteStéphane Wierzbicki Well, I didn't know mine either, but got his email address in the reply to my support ticket. You may as well contact sales@embarcadero.com instead. They should forward it to the right person. BTW, where are you located?
ReplyDeleteUwe Raabe Thank you for the address. I'm located in France.
ReplyDeleteI just received mine! :-)
ReplyDeleteI just received mine, so I clicked on the yes
ReplyDeleteIf you want it and didn't get it, click on the No, I didn't. Embarcadero is watching.
ReplyDeleteJust received it yesterday evening without asking.
ReplyDeleteStill nothing here
ReplyDeleteStill waiting for mine. Checked with my support "person" but he couldn't see he had revived anything.
ReplyDeleteI've just received my serial (on my old email address). But I don't know where to download the RAD Server setup files... Any clues?
ReplyDeleteStéphane Wierzbicki There is no setup, but here are the instructions:
ReplyDeletedocwiki.embarcadero.com - Installing the EMS Server or EMS Console Server on a Production Environment on Windows - RAD Studio
Uwe Raabe viele danke!
