For the last few days, my 10.2.3 IDE just keeps crashing. Sometimes the project loads and then as soon as I move the mouse pointer to start typing, it hangs and the the "Embarcadero RAD Studio for Windows has stopped working" dialog appears, displaying the Debug or Close program options. It doesn't need the application to be running or anything.

Anyone got any suggestions as to where to start? Is there an IDE logfile anywhere?

  1. David Millington I cleaned up my Windows path and removed all Embarcadero entries as I only compile in the IDE (I had both Studio 18 and 19 entries). I then got an error regarding a version 240 package (bpl) file when starting 10.2.3 (version 250 bpl), which I said to not load next time. Since then I have not had the problem (it was only this morning).

  2. Jeff Dyer That sounds a very likely cause - if it loaded a package built with 10.1 into 10.2, that could cause all sorts of problems. Do you know which package it was and why it was being loaded?
