After reinstalling 10.2.3 whenever I write a firemonkey programme and put it on the android (samsung s5) and rotate the phone 90 degrees, the programme dies. On the phone is a black screen with the firemonkey flame; on the computer it is as though the programme has terminated (and you can run it againk by pressing f9, if you want to watch it die again!)

I went hunting for android options, and ticked all the boxes under Project/Options/Application/Orientation, but it made no difference.
Any ideas please?

  1. Thanks, Scott. That worked, in an interesting way. If I modified that file in the level where the .dproj file lay, it caused a weird crash saying that string as above was illegal. If I modified the one in the ../android/progname directory, it worked fine. Does this mean I will have to go through all my android programmes and add this, or is there a template file Delphi uses that I can modify so it puts this in all the versions of this file it generates?

  2. Thanks, Scott. That will keep me in bedtime reading for a while! Wonder why it was unnecessary in previous versions of Delphi?
