  2. Paul TOTH No - they are different. No users with such names. Also - the computer name is different.

  3. I see "Windows User" in both 10.1 and 10.2 but in XE5 I see my email and company name.

  4. Mine says "Administrator TINE SA" - go figure.

  5. This is the name of Windows root admin user.

  6. Dalija Prasnikar No - Our admins tell me that we haven't such user or users in our domain. Can you give me an information (if you know) how to check this on Windows 10 Pro? The machine is not virtual and my user name(I'm admin for this PC too) is not a test. Delphi was installed from the latest ISO file with default value "for all users".

  7. Dobrin Petkov C:\Users should have all users listed. If there is no test there, I am not sure how you got it.

On my machine, this shows name of my root admin user - the one used to install Windows. I don't know what happens if you rename (or delete) that user later on.

  8. Dalija Prasnikar No such user. :) Also, there was no such user on this computer before or after installation.
    Mystery!

  10. Check to what Windows itself is licensed. I remember Delphi sometimes copies that info.

  11. Jeroen Wiert Pluimers No - we use a corporation license and there no test

  12. There is no user with the name that the about box here shows, either.
I am also on a corporate machine.

  13. For all the machines that I have seen in our company (install Windows locally, later add to domain), the original root user that was created during installation of Windows is the name that is shown in the Delphi about box. This is for named user licenses.

  14. We found that this is the name of the current VLAN. Currently my new PC is connected to the internet via our VLAN for tests of new hardware.

Why the Delphi install get this name is not so clear for me. And what will happens after that - when the computer come to my local network?
We have two installations on two PC's. My version is enterprise and it installed from the ISO. The second Delphi version (on the second PC) is a proffessional and it was installed using the WEB installer. The result is the same - licensed to: "test".
So... I just hope that this will not be a problem after some time - when the computer come to my local network.
Many thanks to all for proposals and for the time.

  15. Licensing was so easy with good old Delphi 5.

  16. Mine has my company name that I work for, but I'm using my personal license here at work. (don't ask, we haven't moved from XE5 as yet - we have subscriptions but it would take "a large effort from QA" to move to Tokyo).

  17. Have a look at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion. It seems to be the same values shown in any other Windows About dialog.

  18. P.S. ... and those values get copied to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Embarcadero\BDS\19.0.
You can change it to whatever you like.
