It is planned for (sometime in) 2019 according to the roadmap. If you are on a Delphi subscription, you will be invited to become a beta tester. Then you can get it earlier, which is of critical importance for the macOS 64 bit support. Apple may close 32 bit support any time soon. If we are lucky then Embarcadero will release it before that time...
is that closed only for apps installed from itunes though.i.e if your app is manually installed via a .dmg file and is only 32 bit, will it still run...that is the key (after the next OSX version)
Carlos Moreno Gil No, they already closed the app store for 32 bit apps, so you have to distribute it your self. Even then, macOS will show a warning when the customer runs the app: "This app is outdated".
Mike Margerum I don't know about Android, but we have a very successful iPad app made with Delphi. It has quite a lot of downloads - yesterday we had 3100 downloads from App Store in just 24 hours! Why did you give up on mobile?
talking about android, I had an app removed with this notice: ssue: Violation of Malicious Behavior policy
We don’t allow apps that steal data, secretly monitor or harm users, or are otherwise malicious.
An app distributed on Google Play may not modify, replace, or update itself using any method other than Google Play's update mechanism. Additionally, an app may not download executable code (e.g. dex, JAR, .so files) from a source other than Google Play.
Hans Lavdal Jakobsen Hans Lavdal Jakobsen Long story I don't want to repost, but it was dozens of things at least. this was XE8 timeframe. I've since built the iPad/phone app in swift and it works great.

ReplyDeleteuff, I don´t know about the user message.
ReplyDeleteIt is only shown first time you run the app, but it is not a nice signal to send to the customer that he just bought an outdated app...
ReplyDeleteive given up completely on mobile dev using Delphi but macOS 64 bit would be great.
